Yamaha FGDP-50 is a compact finger drum pad designed for expressive drumming without the space requirements of a conventional electronic drum kit. With a built-in speaker and rechargeable battery, it is especially practical for crew recreation onboard, allowing seafarers to play and practise almost anywhere.
The FGDP-50 features 18 highly sensitive drum pads plus 8 assignable RGB pads, with an ergonomic layout specifically developed for finger drumming. It offers 48 preset drum kits and 1,500 instrument voices, along with effects, Note Repeat, a built-in metronome and Session Creator for playing with automatic backing parts. Users can also import their own WAV or AIFF samples.
At just 223 × 223 × 51 mm and 1.1 kg, it takes up very little storage space onboard. The integrated rechargeable battery provides approximately 3 hours of operation, while headphones allow quiet practice without disturbing other crew members. AUX IN, USB audio/MIDI and USB flash-drive support add flexibility for playing along with music, recording performances or connecting to music software.
